The president of the Las Palmas Court will go to Lanzarote next week to gather information

High Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC)

The Governing Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) has agreed in its ordinary meeting this Friday, January 13, to initiate an ex officio investigation to determine the possible dysfunctions that, if any, may have been registered in the processing of the procedure for the death of the resident of Costa Teguise Romina Celeste N.R. who disappeared in the Christmas of 2019, after the defendant for her alleged homicide had to be released on bail today, since the maximum legal period of pre-trial detention (four years) was exceeded without the jury trial being able to be held.

The president of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas, Emilio Moya Valdés, has been appointed as the instructor of the file, who will travel to Arrecife next week in order to verify as many details as necessary.
