The Governing Council of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) has agreed this Friday to lodge a complaint with the Government of the Canary Islands due to the situation of "absolute paralysis" caused by a "new wave of incidents" on the Atlante judicial management platform.

In a statement released by the TSJC's press office, the judicial governing body has pointed out that, throughout the entire current week —and uninterruptedly during Wednesday, Thursday, and today, Friday—, the technical anomaly is slowing down any ordinary procedure.

The main and most serious consequence is the "total impediment" to the electronic signature of judicial resolutions, which is causing the paralysis of judicial bodies throughout the Autonomous Community, as resolutions cannot be issued or notified, the note emphasizes.

The TSJC has expressed its concern about the "critical impact" that this inoperability is having on the on-call services of the different judicial districts.

It states that, by affecting the processing of urgent and unavoidable actions, the provision of this essential public service is placed in a situation of extreme gravity, directly violating citizens' right to effective judicial protection.

The Governing Council has emphasized that this is not an isolated incident and that it had already reported, in previous agreements, these systemic deficiencies and the need for immediate solutions.

The governing body of judges has reminded the regional Executive of its responsibility in maintaining the operational status of judicial IT infrastructures.

Likewise, it has informed citizens and legal professionals that this paralysis "is exclusively due" to technical causes beyond the control of the Judiciary.

The Council has also agreed to communicate this "widespread and concurrent incident" to the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) and its Inspection Service, so that it is recorded that these technical failures, the responsibility of the Government of the Canary Islands, unjustifiably affect the performance and normal provision of service by members of the judiciary in the archipelago.
