The three men accused of robbery in two premises and a house in Puerto del Carmen have confessed to the crimes and have agreed with the Prosecutor's Office to a reduction of the sentence for the mitigating circumstance of being under the effects of narcotic substances at the time of the events.
For the defendants José David P. and José V. the Prosecutor's Office has agreed to a sentence of five years and one day in prison. While for Cristo Manuel D. it has remained at three years and one day. This was expressed by the Public Ministry before the Second Section of the Provincial Court in the trial held this Tuesday in Arrecife.
The events date back to February 16 of this year, around 11:50 p.m. At that time, the three confessed perpetrators entered the interior of a house, forcing the door on Palangre Street in Puerto del Carmen. In the robbery they obtained two Apple brand mobile phones and 2,953 euros in cash, from the collection of the Bar La Caña Tapas Bar.
After that, at around 00.55 hours in the morning they entered the Shenanigans hospitality establishment, again forcing the lock, causing damage valued at 171.20 euros.
In a third robbery, they forcibly accessed the Bar Piscina of the Club del Carmen tourist complex, where they caused damage of 625 euros on the outside of the premises, stole 482 euros from the cash register and broke the machine.
José David P., Cristo Manuel D. and José T. have remained in provisional prison since February 19.
