The Prosecutor's Office asks for eight years in prison for a masseur accused of sexually abusing a client

The First Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will try next Tuesday in Arrecife a masseur accused of sexual abuse against a patient.

According to the indictment of the Prosecutor's Office, the defendant, who was working as a masseur in Lanzarote, began to give the victim a massage, after which he allegedly inserted his fingers into her vagina without authorization to do so.

For the Public Prosecutor's Office, the facts constitute a crime of sexual abuse for which it requests a prison sentence of eight years, disqualification from the right to passive suffrage during the term of the sentence, supervised release for six years, together with the prohibition of becoming a masseur and the obligation to undergo a corresponding sexual education course. 

The Public Prosecutor's Office also requests a restraining order of ten years, prohibiting him from approaching her home, her workplaces and any other place frequented by her. In addition to prohibiting communication with the victim by any means. 

In addition, it demands that the accused pay the costs. As well as the payment of civil liability, with which he will compensate the injured party with 6,000 euros.
