The Court of Instruction number four of Arrecife has reported that the man accused of killing another during a brawl in a bar in Costa Teguise has been placed in provisional detention, without bail.

The events date back to the night of Sunday, May 28. Two people of European origin residing on the island began fighting in a nightlife area of the town of Teguise. At one point in the discussion, the accused, 46, pushed the victim, 50, down the stairs. After receiving medical assistance, the victim was transferred to the hospital. He died the next day.

The judicial authority reveals that there is only one person under investigation for homicide and that this person exercised his right not to testify.
