The lung, the only part of the body of the young Romina Celeste that could be recovered after her husband killed her on New Year's Eve 2018, has been destroyed.

This organ was located by a lifeguard in January 2019 on the beach of Las Cucharas de Costa Teguise and served as part of the evidence that was used to prove that her husband Raúl Díaz Cachón had ended her life.

Her mother Miriam Rodríguez wanted to take it to Paraguay, the homeland of both, to bury her. However, it was not possible. Now, according to the family's lawyer Emilia Zaballos, the organ has been destroyed.

The only thing left of Romina Celeste's body would be the DNA plaques that were extracted from the victim's lung and that were compared with that of her mother. This would be the part that the Forensic Anatomical Institute would send to Miriam.
