The Court of Instruction number 3 of Arrecife has provisionally released the mother of the four-year-old girl who was found alone in a house in Arrecife this Thursday, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of temporary abandonment of a minor.
The mother, who was arrested after the firefighters came to rescue the girl, who "was leaning out of one of the windows, at risk of falling into the void" from a fourth floor, has stated that it was a misunderstanding.
According to judicial sources, the mother has stated that it was only a few minutes and that a person had promised to be with the girl while she went out for a moment.
However, the Court of Instruction number 3 of Arrecife is waiting to take a statement from a neighbor, who was the one who reported the events.
