The judge of the court of instruction number one of Arrecife has decreed the measure of provisional prison, communicated and without bail for the detainee for stabbing his partner in Arrecife.
According to the communication office of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC), the arrested person has been brought to judicial disposition this Monday morning and has availed himself of his right not to testify. The magistrate has decided to investigate him for a crime of attempted homicide.
As will be recalled, the aggressor would have stabbed the victim in the neck, causing a serious wound that caused a significant loss of blood. The events took place around 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, in a house near El Reducto.
The 55-year-old woman, a native of Arrecife, was immediately transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital, where she underwent surgery and remains stable within the severity.
The alleged aggressor was arrested almost immediately by the agents while investigations continue to clarify the facts.
