The Sixth Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will try on December 16 and 17 in Lanzarote a defendant accused of a dozen crimes related to prostitution and corruption of minors, sexual assault of minors, exhibitionism and sexual abuse against up to four minor victims in Lanzarote.

The Public Prosecutor's Office places the events in its indictment, between mid-2020 until April 2022, when the defendant J.C.M.C. allegedly maintained sexual conversations from his mobile phone with up to four girls and adolescents between eleven and 15 years old, sent sexual images to the minors and allegedly sexually assaulted up to thirty times a 12-year-old girl.

The Prosecutor's Office accuses him of sending her "numerous photographs" in which he "showed himself naked and with his penis normal and erect, as well as videos in which he appeared completely naked to a minor of twelve years old, masturbating until ejaculating" through WhastApp and Instagram.

Likewise, the prosecution states that J.C.M.C. allegedly "asked the minor to send him similar material" and managed to get the girl to send him up to 80 photographs and videos in which she appeared naked.

During this time, the man maintained "up to 30 sexual encounters" with the minor when she was only 12 years old and up to 13, being "fully aware of the situation of disadvantage in which she was". The Prosecutor's Office states that the man performed "touching, and kisses of all kinds, fellatio and full sexual relations with vaginal and anal penetration, with and without a condom", "always taking advantage of the fact that they were alone" and that, "on many occasions", he offered the minor "money or drugs in exchange for sex" and "forcing her to have sexual relations with anal penetration against her will". The events allegedly occurred in a park in Maneje and in the defendant's home in Arrecife.

The Prosecutor's Office accuses the defendant of causing "moral damages and sequelae compatible with an anxiety and depression disorder", of generating in her "low self-esteem, guilt and other adaptive problems that make her vulnerable".

At this point, the defendant allegedly "maintained conversations of a sexual nature" with a second minor, 15 years old, whom he also contacted via Instagram and WhatsApp. The Public Prosecutor's Office points out that the defendant J.C.M.C. told this better "that he would like to be with young girls and that the girls would ask him for photos", that "he would like to experiment with her" and with the minor of 12 years old "at the same time" and assures that he tried to "get photographs or videos" of her.

"Despite the repeated propositions" and that "he sent her photographs in which he showed himself completely naked, showing his erect penis" the minor did not agree to send him photographs or videos, nor to meet in person. This situation caused her "moral damages" and an anxiety and depression disorder.

Between the months of April and December 2021, J.C.M.C. allegedly "moved by his sexual attraction to minors" contacted again through social networks with a third minor, this time of eleven years old, to whom he said that "he wanted to be the first person to have sex with her" and asking her "if she had fucked" or "if she had a virgin pussy". In this sense, he sent her photographs of his penis.

The situation caused in the minor "moral damages and sequelae consisting of anxiety, fears and low self-esteem; also objectifying in the same a slight adaptive disorder with anxiety".

To conclude, the Prosecutor's Office accuses J.C.M.C. of contacting a fourth girl, of 13 years old, between the months of November and December of 2021. The defendant allegedly asked the 13-year-old minor "to send him photos or videos in which she appeared naked or in underwear", and even came to "send her a pornographic image of a woman in which she was completely naked, without the victim ever agreeing to send the defendant photographs or videos". This minor has also suffered moral damages and sequelae such as "fears and low self-esteem".

On April 20, 2022, agents of the National Police, the Local Police of Arrecife, the Superior Headquarters of the Police of the Canary Islands, the Brigade of the Judicial Police, and the UFAM arrested the defendant and seized his mobile phone.

In total, they found nine audio files about "conversations of a sexual nature" sent to the first minor, an image file of one of the victims, of 13 years old, "naked and touching her vagina", as well as a total of 2,847 images of "unequivocally pornographic content, in particular, in some of them of child pornography" in which minors appeared "in explicit sexual behaviors of all kinds, showing their vagina or touching themselves".

In the videos and photos seized also appeared "images of generic pornography", in which "one of the participants is a young girl" who wore schoolgirl uniforms and that had "sadomasochistic domination as the main theme".

More than 30 years in prison

The defendant remains in prison for this case since April 2022 and the Prosecutor's Office requests up to 31 years in prison for a dozen crimes. Among them, a continued crime of exhibitionism, three crimes of exhibitionism, a crime related to prostitution and corruption of minors, a continued crime of sexual assault of a minor under 16 years of age and four crimes of sexual abuse of minors under 16 years of age.

In addition, the Public Prosecutor's Office requests that the corresponding prohibition be applied to exercise an office or position that involves the care or custody of minors, as well as the prohibition of approaching and communicating with the victims.
