The Second Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will try V.C. on June 4 in Arrecife, an Italian with a non-computable criminal record, for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor in an occupied house in Maneje.

The Prosecutor's Office accuses V.C. of allegedly pouncing on the minor, who was 15 years old at the time of the events, during the early morning of June 24, 2023. The teenager was lying on the sofa in the living room, dizzy because they had been consuming alcohol and drugs with a group of people.

The Public Prosecutor's Office states that the consumption of substances left the minor's will "annulled" and that V.C. allegedly "took advantage" of the fact that the victim could not be aware of her actions or "exercise control over them" to undress and rape her.

Therefore, it asks for the accused, who has been in pre-trial detention for these events since June 30, 2023, a sentence of 15 years in prison. In addition, supervised release for 10 years, once he has served his prison sentence, and that he undergo a sexual education course.

Thus, it requests 20 years of disqualification from any profession, trade or activity, paid or unpaid, that involves "regular and direct contact" with minors, and a ban on approaching the victim within 500 meters for 20 years.

Finally, the Public Prosecutor's Office requests that the accused compensate the victim with 30,000 euros.
