The judge of the on-duty court in Arrecife has agreed to the preventative communication and bail-free imprisonment of the detainee from recent days for the fatal stabbing of a person in Playa Blanca, his housemate. The judicial authority has agreed to his admission after taking his statement this Wednesday, October 14, as the alleged perpetrator of a homicide offense.

The Civil Guard of Yaiza arrested the suspect of stabbing to death his housemate in Playa Blanca. The events took place on the afternoon of last Monday, October 12, in a residential development in this coastal town of Yaiza.

The arrest occurred after the suspect was medically discharged from the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital in Lanzarote, where he had been urgently transferred with stab wounds.

The events occurred around 4:00 PM in the Jardín de Yaiza development. The victim, 30 years old, and the alleged aggressor, 25 years old, had been living together in that property for at least a year. The police hypothesis is that they both began to argue inside the home and got involved with knives in the property.
