The duty shift lawyers have gathered this Thursday in front of the Arrecife Courts. Around thirty professionals dressed in the characteristic gown of lawyers and with signs that read "for a worthy duty shift" made a series of demands.
The lawyers who assist people with the right to free justice in Lanzarote join the rest of the country's duty lawyers who were called to demonstrate in front of the Congress of Deputies. This concentration is a preliminary step to calling a possible strike. Among the main requests made this Thursday was an increase in salary, work-life balance and recognition for families with low incomes regardless of their context.
This concentration adds to the demands of judges and prosecutors, who announce new stoppages from May 16, as well as the workers of the Administration of Justice.
