The First Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will try next Tuesday in Lanzarote a defendant for allegedly selling drugs after being caught with several packets of cocaine.
The events date back to June 2024, when B.D. was caught with twelve packets of cocaine among his belongings, totaling 7.58 grams.
This drug had a purity of 69.99% and was going to be destined for sale to third parties. On the market it would have had an approximate value of 447.52 euros. In addition, at the time of the arrest, a mobile phone was also seized from him.
The Prosecutor's Office accuses him of a crime against public health and requests for the accused a sentence of four years in prison, special disqualification for the exercise of the right to passive suffrage during the term of the sentence and a fine of 900 euros which, in case of non-payment, will be added fifteen days of jail.
Predictably, an agreement will be reached between the Public Prosecutor's Office and the defense to substitute the prison sentence for expulsion from the national territory, since the alleged perpetrator is of Guinean nationality, and the prohibition of entry into Spain for 10 years, when the accused had served two-thirds of the sentence.
