A pensioner from San Bartolomé achieves the cancellation of the 29,000 euros of debt he had accumulated thanks to the Second Chance Law. When his economic situation was already unsustainable, Ricardo A. López turned to the experts at Canarias Sin Deuda to find a solution that would allow him to continue with his life and has achieved the exoneration of all his debt.

Ricardo, despite having contributed for 46 years, found himself in a situation of unemployment and decided to start a business, opening a bar in Arrecife. At first things went well and he was able to pay off the loans. However, over time, the bar began to generate more losses than profits, leading him to ruin and plunging him into a situation of insolvency.

In an attempt to stabilize his financial situation and pay off the accumulated debts, Ricardo became even more indebted by resorting to new loans, and ended up closing his business.

Despite his efforts to get it off the ground, there were days when he barely made ten euros, and the situation became unsustainable. After losing his economic independence again and finding himself unemployed, Ricardo had to resort to unemployment benefits for people over 52/55 years of age, since the bar was his only source of income at that time.

Ricardo did not realize that his financial situation was progressively deteriorating. Finally, he realized that his economic circumstances were unsustainable, with creditors pressuring him more and more, he was unable to cover basic expenses such as rent, food, water or electricity, and sought a solution in the Second Chance Law.

"I owed a lot of money and a friend who had been through a similar situation advised me to resort to the Second Chance Law and Canarias Sin Deuda. The advice has been very good and after owing so much money I finally see a solution. I would definitely recommend it to people in my situation," he explains.

The experts at Canarias Sin Deuda point out that situations such as Ricardo's, where unforeseen expenses and financial ignorance are added, are the root of many of the situations of serious indebtedness they see.
