Section I of the Provincial Court will try on May 24 a man accused of sexually abusing a woman "taking advantage of the fact that she was under the influence of narcotic substances." The Prosecutor's Office asks for Abdelkarim Nasri a sentence of 8 years in prison and compensation for the victim of 6,000 euros
The facts, according to the indictment of the Public Prosecutor's Office, took place on October 7, 2016 in a house in Tahíche at about 7 o'clock. "Acting with libidinous and lascivious intent," the accused "entered the room" in which the victim "was sleeping" and "vaginally penetrated her, taking advantage of the fact that she was under the influence of narcotic substances that annulled her will after consuming cannabis, which led her to believe that it was with her boyfriend with whom she was having relations, causing serious moral damage," the Prosecutor's Office maintains.
The Public Prosecutor's Office considers that the facts constitute a crime of non-consensual sexual abuse and, therefore, requests a sentence of eight years in prison for the accused, as well as compensation to the victim in the amount of 6,000 euros "for the moral damages caused." It is also requested that he be prohibited from approaching the woman "at a distance of less than 300 meters" for a period of 13 years and, if convicted, that he be subjected to supervised release for seven years, once he leaves prison.
