The minutes, corresponding to the exams evaluated on June 16, represent the definitive green light for more than ten applicants to formally process their professional qualification card in a labor market with a great shortage of workers.

To get behind the wheel of a bus on the island's public network (Interurbana de Lanzarote) or the discretionary fleet that transports thousands of tourists daily throughout the island, EU legislation requires CAP accreditation, which assesses both efficient driving and passenger safety, regulations on rest times, and response to emergencies.

The publication of these definitive qualifications coincides with the peak of summer demand in Lanzarote. Sources from the mobility sector on the island agree that the lack of qualified drivers has been one of the main bottlenecks for increasing frequencies on saturated bus lines and for attending to cruise operations and tourist transfers.

With the minutes in hand and the corresponding fee paid to the Tax Network for the issuance of the physical card, the new cohort of professionals has the doors open to join local staff immediately.
