The Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa offers intensive preparatory training for the Middle Grade and Higher Grade exams. The novelty this year is that people over 30 years of age can also access these courses thanks to the Acredita Program of the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
The Basic Skills courses in preparation for access to Middle Grade have been taught for several years at the Chamber with the PICE Qualification and Employment Program. This program is aimed at young people between 16 and 29 years old who are not working or studying, and aims to incorporate them into the labor market.
However, given the demand from another older segment who wanted to access these courses, the possibility has been opened to all ages. This has been possible due to the new professional accreditation program that the Cabildo of Lanzarote has launched with the management of the Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to access to Middle Grade, preparatory training for Higher Grade is also offered. It should be noted that so far the pass rate for these courses is above 90% and that the training is offered completely free of charge.
Another aspect to take into account is that the courses will be taught in person in the afternoon to facilitate access for people who are working and that the duration of the classes has been condensed into 60 hours to make it more feasible.
The PICE Program is promoted by Cámara España and executed by local chambers of commerce, is part of the National Youth Guarantee System of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security and is co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
The Acredita Program is fully financed by the Economic Promotion area, which is coordinated by the president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort.
