The Ministry of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Canary Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society (ACIISI), announces the opening of the second registration period of its CODECAN 2026 Program, aimed at fostering digital skills, especially among young Canary Islanders.
Until next December 18, interested educational centers in the Canary Islands can consult the training offer and apply for free participation in the different activities of training, awareness and specialization in information and communication technologies (ICT).
Following the impact of previous editions, which have accumulated more than 900 workshops and 22,000 participating students, the CODECAN Program continues to bring students closer to digital technologies and skills linked to new educational and professional environments.
Innovation and technology in the classroom
The CODECAN 2026 training offer addresses different areas of digital transformation through practical workshops and activities adapted to educational centers.
Among the proposals are contents related to artificial intelligence, AI tools, video game creation, geographic information systems (GIS), 360º photography, music and audiovisuals with AI, quantum physics, communication and public speaking, 3D design and digital manufacturing.
The program also includes awareness activities on issues related to the use of technology, such as mental health in ICT, responsible use of technologies, and prevention against risks and deception in the digital environment.
Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training centers in the Canary Islands can consult the complete catalog of activities and formalize their application for free participation through the official CODECAN Program platform.
