Lanzarote is the seventh most searched Spanish destination online for Christmas travel, accounting for 6% of searches, trailing only Madrid, Barcelona, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Málaga, and Alicante.
This is confirmed by the figures from Datastur, the intelligent database of the Ministry of Tourism, which also explains that Lanzarote's César Manrique Airport is the **tenth airport in the country with the most air seats** for Christmas, although this is 0.5% less than last year.Of the total seats available for landing in Lanzarote until next Epiphany, 39% are assigned to planes connecting the island with the **United Kingdom**, which represents a **drop of 2.9%** compared to last year's Christmas holidays
Next, from Spanish airports, planes depart with 29% of the total seats assigned for Lanzarote during these dates, which represents 2.3% less than last year.
Ireland reaches 8% of seats this Christmas, and it is the only large market that is growing, it does so by 15.7% compared to last year.
Germany, already in fourth place, maintains 8% of air seats to Lanzarote during the Christmas period, but this is 2% less than during Christmas 2024.
The drop in seats with France, which represents 4% of the total, has been the largest among the major markets, 10.7% less than the previous year.
