"From today, both are part of the group of hotels recognized as the most sustainable nationwide," they emphasize from the Cabildo.

Dolores Corujo conveyed her congratulations to these hotels, on behalf of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, “for this business achievement, which shows the benefits and advantages of sustainability and energy efficiency and for aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations”.

“With this award, they represent the commitment of all Lanzarote and the island's tourism sector to sustainable development and I am sure that many accommodation establishments will follow their example, which will allow us to consolidate the path of economic recovery and employment that we started several months ago on the island,” the president stressed.

The call for the Contest is supported by the Secretary of State for Tourism of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism; the World Tourism Organization; the Climate Change Office for Ecological Transition and the demographic challenge and the Institute for Diversification and Energy Saving of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and the demographic challenge.
