The total tourist expenditure in Lanzarote between April and June of this year amounted to 795.6 million euros, while in the spring of 2024 it amounted to 825.5 million.
That's 30 million less in expenditure despite the fact that between April and June of 2025, 806,803 tourists arrived, that is, 35,000 more than arrived during the previous spring.
Between April and June of this year, each tourist who stayed in Lanzarote spent an average of 154.6 euros per day, which is equivalent to 7.3% less than what they spent in the same period last year.
According to data provided by the Lanzarote Data Center based on ISTAC statistics, expenditure in the spring of 2024 amounted to a total of 166.9 euros per person per day.
Thus, if between April and June of last year expenditure was only higher in Tenerife, where each tourist spent an average of 173.4 euros, this year expenditure has also been higher in Gran Canaria (162.8 euros) and again in Tenerife (160.9 euros).
Thus, the average expenditure in Canary Islands (157.9 euros) has also been higher than the average expenditure in Lanzarote.
Of the 154.6 euros on average that each tourist spent daily in Lanzarote between April and June, a total of 74.6 euros are spent on accommodation, while 36.1 euros are spent on national and international transportation.
In addition, each tourist spent an average of 8.5 euros per day on local transportation, 24 euros on food, 6.4 euros on leisure, 4.5 euros on the purchase of goods, and 0.5 euros for other purposes.
