The holiday homes available in Lanzarote fall below 7,000 for the first time in two years

The average rate in January was 40 euros lower than a year ago and total revenue was almost five million euros less

Although the General Tourist Registry had 11,094 holiday homes registered in Lanzarote in January 2026, those available for rent fell below 7,000 in February for the first time since February 2024, according to the latest ISTAC Accommodation Survey released by the Lanzarote Data Center. 

In January there were 6,990 available vacation homes in Lanzarote on the intermediation platforms. Of these, a total of 6,663 were booked, generating 19.7 million euros in the first month of the year. 

The same month of last year there were 7,806 vacation homes available and 7,522 were booked with earnings exceeding 24.5 million euros. That is, almost five million euros difference from one year to another. 

The number of available tourist places last month rose to 31,231 compared to 36,384 twelve months ago.

Regarding the average rate, it has fallen 40 euros per day. From 208 euros in January 2025 to 168 last month. 

Instead, the average stay has lengthened by one day this year, as it has been 5.92 days compared to 4.91 in January 2025.
