The Government, through an Agreement of the Government's Delegate Commission for Economic Affairs (CDGAE) and an Order of the Ministry of Finance, has approved the granting of regional incentives to a total of 77 projects in eleven Autonomous Communities, including the Canary Islands.

In the Archipelago, 10 projects have been approved with a total investment of 257.3 million euros and a subsidy of 99.4 million, which will allow the creation of 382 jobs and the maintenance of another 1,440.

In Lanzarote, one of the outstanding projects is the expansion of the Emblematic Hotel La Casa de los Naranjos, located in the municipality of Haría. The project has an investment of 1.25 million euros, destined to the creation of new rooms, a restaurant and swimming pool, and will generate 7 new jobs.

The island director, Pedro Viera, stressed that "these types of aid are a key opportunity for Lanzarote, because they allow attracting productive investment, generating employment and diversifying our economy towards a more sustainable model."

The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, highly valued the project: "The expansion of La Casa de los Naranjos reinforces the quality tourist offer in Haría, boosts the local economy and enhances our heritage, consolidating a development model that respects our identity and the environment."

For his part, the owner of the hotel, José Antonio García, stressed that "this expansion is a decisive step for the future of the establishment. Thanks to the support received, we will be able to continue growing, offer a differentiated experience to visitors and create stable employment in our municipality."

With these aids, the Government promotes projects that contribute to the economic balance between territories, promoting business activity in regions with a lower level of development and betting on productive, innovative and environmentally sustainable investments.
