The Art, Culture and Tourism Centers have just published this Friday on their website the technical and administrative specifications of the supply contract, through a simplified open procedure, of new network antennas to strengthen the connectivity of computer systems and infrastructures.

The councilor, Ángel Vázquez, explained that the initiative responds to the need to "adapt to the reality of a visitor who wants to be increasingly connected with the world and to the demands of a tourism industry in constant evolution."

Specifically, the Tourist Centers require the acquisition of 101 wifi antennas for indoor areas and 42 wifi antennas for outdoor areas, which will be implemented to the existing technological network, and will allow the "improvement of the visiting experience." The antennas must be Wifi 6 or latest generation, 5 Ghz speed, Ethernet LAN, and Data transfer speed 1000 Mbit/S, they have highlighted.

The tender has a budget of 33,000 euros, which will be financed through the program: 1.5.7. Improvement of infrastructures and development of public digital services of the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN) managed by the vice president and councilor of Public Works of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Jacobo Medina.
