Overnight stays in Spanish tourist apartments increased by 7.9% in November. Stays by residents increased by 5.9% and those by non-residents by 8.5%
Canary Islands was the preferred destination for apartments, with more than 2.3 million overnight stays and an increase of 5.5% compared to November 2024. Canary Islands had the highest occupancy, with 85.3% of the apartments offered.
By tourist areas, Gran Canaria was the preferred destination, with more than 899 thousand overnight stays. Lanzarote showed the highest occupancy rate, at 89.5%. The tourist spots with the highest number of overnight stays were San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Mogán, and Arona.
In Spain as a whole, the average **stay** fell by 2.3%, to 5.1 overnight stays per traveler.In November, 34.7% of the **beds** offered were occupied, 3.7% more than in the same month of 2024. The occupancy rate per bed on weekends was 38.5%, 4% more
78.7% of overnight stays were made by non-resident travelers. The United Kingdom was the main issuing market, with 27.9% of the total.
