Tourism in Lanzarote continues to break records and reaches 2.2 million visitors until August, 7.5% more than during the same period of 2023.
With the exception of July, in which the arrival figures were practically the same as last year, increases were recorded every month.
The growth was much more marked in the first months of the year with increases of two digits both in January (+12.2%), as in February (+15.8%) and especially in March (16.9%).
In spring, arrivals continued to grow compared to last year, although in a more moderate way. In April the increase was 3%, in May 3.2% and in June it amounted to 4.2%.
Given the figures until August, it could be possible to exceed 3.5 million tourists in the whole of 2024. Last year closed with a total of 3.17 million arrivals.
