The average daily rate in hotels in Lanzarote reached 147.8 euros last July, the highest in the Canary Islands, after rising 5.6% compared to last year.
Next, the hotels in Gran Canaria, which achieved a rate per night of 143 euros, 11% higher than what they charged twelve months ago.
In third place were the hotels in Tenerife, whose rooms were 1.1% cheaper than a year ago with an average price of 140 euros.
The hotels in La Gomera, which have experienced a spectacular increase in their rates compared to last year (+24.7%) reached 114.4 euros.
In contrast, in La Palma, the rate fell by 7.4% to an average of 88 euros per room and night.
Regarding the average stay, tourists who stayed in hotels in Lanzarote stayed 7.16 days, slightly lower than the figure achieved in July last year when they stayed 7.46 days.
However, the duration of stays in Lanzarote hotels was only surpassed in Fuerteventura, where they stayed an average of 7.52 days, slightly less than last year.
In Gran Canaria and Tenerife, the average stays were 6.48 and 6.12 days respectively, very similar to the data from last year.
In the hotels of La Palma, tourists stayed an average of 4.75 days, a figure practically identical to that of last year.
Finally, the hotels in La Gomera, were not only the ones that increased their rates the most, but also achieved the largest growth in the duration of the stay, going from 3.29 in July 2024 to 4 full days last month.
