Spaniards want to travel this Christmas and their searches are growing in all travel categories compared to last year.
According to a note from the Kayak search engine, growth has been 22% in flights, 5% in hotels, and 4% in rental cars.
Among all the destinations in the world, Lanzarote was the ninth most searched place in the aforementioned search engine from Spain.
Kayak also offers the average flight prices for each destination. For Lanzarote, it amounts to 277 euros on average, 3% cheaper than last year.
Two other Canary Islands are also on the list. Tenerife ranks second among Spaniards' preferences with an average price for flights of 208 euros, also 3% lower than in 2024.
Gran Canaria ranks in seventh position with an average flight price of 203 euros, 17% less than last year.
The first destination on the list is New York, where the average flight price is 598 euros, 16% more economical than in 2024.
The third most sought-after destination is London, where flights have decreased by 17% compared to last year, reaching 113 euros.
Buenos Aires ranks fourth with an average price of 1,574 euros (13% more expensive) and Rome is fifth, with a price 16% higher, up to 168 euros.
In sixth position is Paris, with flights 9% more expensive than last year and an average of 154 euros.
After Gran Canaria, Miami ranks eighth with an average price of 745 euros, 4% less than last Christmas.
After Lanzarote, Prague closes the list, with flights costing on average 22% less than last year, the average being 181 euros.
