Lanzarote's tourist accommodations continue on the path to recovery with revenues of 48,178,010 euros in February, of which 37,865,660 come from the hotel sector and 10,312,350 from the non-hotel sector. These are very positive figures compared to the 37.8 million euros generated in January, according to figures from the Lanzarote Data Center.

Occupancy also grew, standing at 75.31% on average in February compared to 58.58% in January, which translates to 192,596 people staying in February compared to 153,379 in the previous month. In addition, the difference is much greater when compared to 2021, with 8,314 people, i.e. an increase of 2,217%.

Overnight stays have also increased, with 208,000 more overnight stays in February than in January. Specifically, 1,143,819 overnight stays, of which 759,807 were in hotels and 384,012 in non-hotel complexes.

Regarding tourist capacity, the places offered have remained very similar to previous months, with 60,135 offers (39,920 hotel and 20,215 non-hotel), as have the open accommodations, with 181 establishments in February.

Also, travelers stayed an average of 6.8 nights in tourist accommodations (6.70 nights in hotels and 8.40 in other lodgings), one night less than in January, but paid 6 more, with an average daily rate of 93 euros in February (107 euros in hotels and 62 in non-hotel accommodations).

Regarding job creation in tourist accommodations, these have seen a considerable drop in figures, with 8,585 jobs in February compared to 17,268 at the beginning of the year. The year-on-year variation is still very positive (360%) with figures that more than triple those of 2021.
