Once the normality of the travel and tourism sector has been restored, the Tourism Fair of the city of Berlin (ITB Berlin 2023) returns to the face-to-face format and, in this edition, will be exclusive to professionals. This return to the face-to-face format has allowed CICAR to return to this fair with its own stand integrated into the official space of the Canary Islands, as usual.
Germany is one of the largest tourist emitters in the world and the Canary Islands are among its favorite destinations. The ITB Berlin is considered among the three most important tourism fairs in the world, together with those of London and Madrid. ITB Berlin 2023 began this Tuesday, March 7, and will continue until Thursday, March 9.
The Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands, Yaiza Castilla, approached the stand of the car rental company accompanied by the managing director of the public company Promotur Turismo Canarias, José Juan Lorenzo. Both were attended by the commercial director of CICAR, Ramón Valiente, and exchanged impressions on the excellent prospects for tourism in the Canary archipelago for the current year.

Another of the traditional visits that the stand hosted was a group of students from the University School of Tourism of Lanzarote. It is common that, within their program of educational activities, students enrolled in this center attend the major fairs to come into direct contact with the tourism industry.
The CICAR group
CICAR is a car rental company without a driver belonging to the Cabrera Medina Group. This business group, with a family structure, offers services in all the Canary Islands, and is present in all airports, ports, tourist areas and strategic points of the Canary archipelago. Its logo is a creation of the artist César Manrique. CICAR has more than 80 points of sale for both rent a car and vehicle sales and directly employs some 1,500 people.
