Between February of last year and the same month of this year, house prices have increased in all municipalities, but they have done so with enormous disparity, according to the Lanzarote Data Center based on statistics published by idealista.com.
The smallest increase has occurred in the municipality of San Bartolomé, where prices have only increased by 2.6% in the last year, well below inflation. In one year, the price of a square meter in this municipality has gone from costing 2,080 euros to being sold for an average of 2,134 euros.
The next municipality where prices have increased the least has been Tinajo. In one year, the square meter has gone from costing 1,684 euros to being put on sale at 1,782 euros, which represents an increase of 5.8%.
The third place is occupied by Arrecife, where prices for the sale of housing have grown by 9.3%. If in February of last year the square meter was at 1,314 euros, it currently costs 1,437.
The square meter exceeds 2,000 euros in Haría
In Teguise, the year-on-year increase has been 10.6%, since in February of last year the square meter was at 2,042 euros, compared to 2,263 euros this year.
Apartment prices in Tías have experienced a growth of 15.1% in one year. Twelve months ago, the square meter cost an average of 2,591 euros and is now worth 2,873 euros.
The second municipality with the highest year-on-year price increase on the island has been Haría. There, prices have grown by 18.6% in one year, so the square meter has been located at 2,001 euros, so it exceeds the barrier of two thousand euros for the first time. A year ago it cost 1,687 euros.
Finally, the largest price increase has been registered in the municipality of Yaiza, where prices rose by 23.2% in one year. If in February of last year the square meter cost 2,417 euros, now it is very close to reaching 3,000 euros, its average price is currently 2,979 euros.
