The Department of Urban Planning of the Arrecife City Council, led by Maciot Cabrera, has submitted this Tuesday to the Local Government Board the approval of another nine urban licenses that will allow progress in the construction of new homes and in the improvement of the urban environment of the capital of Lanzarote.

In this way, there are already 244 urban licenses processed and submitted for approval by said Department in two years of management at the head of the councilor Maciot Cabrera, who emphasizes "the work of the staff of the Municipal Technical Office whose daily commitment makes it possible for us to continue advancing in the processing of licenses and carry out projects that are essential for the orderly growth of our city."

Files

Among the approved files, several residential projects stand out, such as the construction of a two-story building with four duplex-type homes on Veracruz Street; and the legalization and completion of a single-family home between party walls on Manguía Street. A two-story detached building with a basement, which will house three homes, on Los Helechos Street, and a new two-story building -a home and a commercial space- in Argana Alta have also been authorized.

Cabrera emphasizes that "these new licenses reflect the commitment of this government group to efficient urban planning, which responds to the real needs of citizens and promotes the sustainable development of our city." The councilor also recalls that the City Council maintains the management commission with the public company Gesplan, which has allowed to outsource part of the technical reports and significantly accelerate the procedures.

Social housing in Maneje

On the other hand, Maciot Cabrera highlights the importance of the public company Visocan having communicated to the City Council its intention to resume the construction of 200 social homes in the Maneje neighborhood. "Important news in view of our purpose of responding to the need to facilitate access to housing in our city and alleviate the pressure of tourist rentals that has been suffered in recent years," he says.
