The price of the square meter in Arrecife had never been so high in the city's history. According to data from Idealista.com, it reached 2,084 euros last November, a record high.
Thus, housing for sale in the island's capital is 9.3% more expensive than a year ago, when the square meter cost 1,906 euros.
However, there are significant differences by neighborhood. The areas that have become most expensive are Maneje and Argana, which idealista.com groups together, and where the square meter has increased in price by 35.6% to 2,011 euros.
Thus, in Maneje and Argana, an 80-square-meter apartment costs **42,240 euros more** than a year ago when the square meter was priced at 1,483 euros.
Prices have also soared in Altavista, Titerroy, and San Francisco Javier. According to Idealista.com, which groups the three neighborhoods in the same section, the square meter costs 2,272 euros, 22.1% more than a year ago when it was 1,861 euros.
With this data, an 80-meter apartment in that area of Arrecife costs 32,880 euros more today than a year ago.
The downtown area of the capital of Lanzarote is also at historic highs, although it is the area that has seen the least increase in price in the last year (+3.4%) to 2,461 euros per square meter.
The cheapest apartments in the city, according to Idealista.com, are located in the area that includes Valterra, La Vega, and Las Salinas, where the square meter is still below 2,000 euros, specifically 1,924 euros, 6.8% more than twelve months ago.
