The Lanzarote company Salinas de Janubio has celebrated the achievement of two awards in the Official Agrocanarias 2024 Competition, which this year was held on the island of La Palma and which "reaffirm the company's commitment to excellence, sustainability and tradition in the production of sea salt."

Salinas de Janubio has achieved the Grand Gold Medal in the Virgin Sea Salt category and a Gold Medal in the Flower of Salt category, "a product that combines tradition and respect for the environment."

These recognitions, the company explains, "not only reflect Salinas de Janubio's dedication to maintaining traditional methods of artisanal production, but also its ability to innovate and adapt to the demands of the modern market with unique products that embody the cultural and landscape richness of Lanzarote."

"This recognition is a testament to the effort and dedication of our entire team, from the salt workers to those who make it possible for our products to reach the world," commented Carlos Padrón, administrator of Salinas de Janubio.

The awards obtained reaffirm Salinas de Janubio's position as a benchmark in the production of sea salt and the enhancement of the heritage and traditions of Lanzarote.
