The University of La Laguna and Bodegas El Grifo promote awards for the best End of Degree Project (TFG), End of Master's Project (TFM) and Doctoral Thesis related to wine tourism.
The main objective of these awards is the promotion of research activity and innovation among university students in the field of wine tourism.
Specifically, three awards will be given with an individual financial endowment for the best End of Degree Project, the best End of Master's Project and the best Doctoral Thesis. In addition, the winners will have a travel grant to participate in the award ceremony on the island of Lanzarote.
Students from any university may apply for this call, provided that they meet the following requirements: that the works have been presented and defended in the academic year 2023-2024 or previously, have obtained a minimum grade of 8 out of 10, and that the main objective of the work is closely related to wine tourism activity.
The deadline for submitting applications will close on July 31st. From that date, the technical commission will evaluate the submitted works to issue its verdict, which will be publicly communicated. Applications should be made through the virtual headquarters of the University of La Laguna, which has made this web section available for this purpose.
These awards also seek to disseminate the results of the work already done and to stimulate the realization of future academic work that contributes to promoting activities in this field.
This collaboration between the University of La Laguna and Bodegas El Grifo is part of the collaboration protocol signed last March, in coordination with the Chair of Agrotourism and Wine Tourism of the Canary Islands, which has the support of the Canary Islands Institute of Agri-Food Quality, and is in addition to other projects that are being developed between both organizations.
