The Urbaser Workers' Assembly has called off the planned strike in Arrecife after reaching an agreement with the company.
During the negotiation table, the parties reached a pre-agreement, which has been ratified this Friday morning by the Urbaser workers' Assembly.
This agreement will run from 2024 to 2027, which guarantees the stability of the working conditions of the workers during this transition period until the new award of the Service.
UGT has positively valued this agreement, which, "although it was not the desired one, it was the possible one", and has congratulated the workers for their unity of action. It has also thanked the Arrecife City Council for its intermediation, especially the area councillor, Jacobo Lemes and his technical team.
UGT has indicated that it hopes that in the next award of the service the deficiencies of this contract will be resolved to guarantee a quality service to the citizens.
