The Tías City Council, governed by PSOE and Unidas Sí Podemos, today welcomed twelve unemployed people who have been hired to carry out the project called Conservation of the municipal natural environment 2024-2025, which is financed by the Cabildo of Lanzarote.

The mayor, José Juan Cruz, the first deputy mayor, Nicolás Saavedra, and the councilors of Human Resources, Culture, Urban Planning and Mobility, Tomás Silvera, Pepa González, Ulpiano Calero and Sergio García, received the newly hired and congratulated them for their incorporation into the labor market, encouraging them "to work together for the municipality."

The agreement between the Island Council of Lanzarote and the City Council of Tías regulates the procedure for the direct concession of nominated subsidies to job-generating projects such as this one, which will be developed for six months and has a budget of 165,805 euros.

The hired people will perform work in different departments of the consistory, mainly in the area of ​​Roads and Works and Cleaning, in addition to Social Welfare and Family, Culture and attention in municipal dependencies.
