Lanzarote ended 2022 with a total of 69,321 affiliations to Social Security. This is 7.5% more than those registered at the end of 2021 when 64,092 contributors were reached.
Activities related to tourism led to more than 26,000 affiliations, 38% of the total. Of these, 5,986 were in the island's hotels, while other tourist accommodations generated 5,720 affiliations.
In the field of restoration, 9,137 affiliations were recorded, while transportation services by road, sea and air added 3,418 contributors.
For its part, sports activities generated 1,087 affiliations, while cultural services added 570 contributors and travel agencies 455.
