The Federation of Services to the Citizenry of CCOO Canarias has reported in a statement a new day of mobilizations by the healthcare transport personnel for this Friday, given that the "blockade in the signing and negotiation of the collective agreement by the concessionaire companies" continues.
The protest will take place between 10:00 and 12:00 hours on all islands of the Archipelago. In June 2026, the more than 2,500 workers in the ambulance sector in the Canary Islands began an indefinite strike.
From Comisiones Obreras, they explain that the protests continue the sector's mobilization calendar in the face of the "blockade of the collective agreement and they demand labor improvements, professional recognition, and decent wages " for the healthcare emergency technicians of the Canary Islands.
The strike in the healthcare transport sector in the Canary Islands officially began with two main days of total stoppage on June 8 and 19, 2026. From that day on, the strike was declared indefinite for all Fridays, with partial stoppages and weekly concentrations in front of hospitals such as Molina Orosa.
