The number of affiliations to Social Security in Lanzarote has increased in September by 867 people to 71,972 at present.
After the decrease experienced in August, when 385 Lanzarote residents stopped contributing to Social Security, the number of affiliates grows strongly on the island in the month of September.
All municipalities, with the exception of Yaiza, experienced increases. Arrecife is the municipality that adds the most contributors, with 491 new registrations.
Next, San Bartolomé, where 145 new contributors have registered with Social Security.
The third municipality with the highest number of registrations in September was Teguise, which has 116 more contributors to Social Security, followed by Tinajo, which adds 64.
For its part, Tías and Haría add 30 and 29 new affiliations respectively. The only municipality that lost contributors in September was Yaiza, which has 8 fewer affiliates.
Some of the economic sectors that have added the most affiliates are Education (315); Administration (250); Hospitality (238); Transportation (113); Health (98); and commerce (90).
