The signing of contracts decreased in Lanzarote during the month of August. Specifically, it fell by 15.1% in August compared to the month of July. This is shown by data from the Canarian Employment Observatory (Obecan).
So far this year, a total of 37,110 contracts have been signed on the island, which implies a drop of 17% compared to the previous year.
Thus, with data from August 31, 4,504 contracts were signed on the island. Of these, 57% were indefinite.
This figure represents a decrease compared to the same period last year, in which 5,424 new contracts were registered.
