Jaime Cantizano debuts with Por Fin in the afternoons on Onda Cero

Onda Cero inaugurates its new season with many new features, true to its values of credibility, plurality and closeness, which have made Atresmedia's radio the fastest growing radio in the last year, scoring its best audience data since 2015.

Among the main novelties of Onda Cero's new programming is the arrival of Jaime Cantizano to the afternoons of the network, with the program 'Por fin' (M-F, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.). For her part, Julia Otero moves her 'Julia en la onda' to weekend mornings (Saturdays and Sundays, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.).

After the holidays, Carlos Alsina returns to Onda Cero with 'Más de uno'; 'La brújula' by Rafa Latorre; Rocío Martínez and Edu Pidal at the head of 'Radioestadio Noche'; and Edu García as the great master of ceremonies of the great sporting occasions with 'Radioestadio'.

'Por fin', the new afternoons of Onda Cero, with Cantizano

From 2 p.m. (Canarian time), Jaime Cantizano will be in charge of 'Por fin' from Monday to Friday, a four-hour space that will move between current affairs and entertainment. Cantizano's new program will open spaces for relaxed conversation about the topics that are on everyone's lips and that generate public conversation. To this end, he will have among his collaborators Ángel Antonio Herrera, Elisa Beni, Celia Villalobos, Susana Díaz, Juan Soto Ivars, Carolina Bescansa or Ketty Garat, among others.

At the start of the program, Jaime Cantizano will try to unravel the current affairs of the day with the help of Juan de Dios Colmenero, head of the National Area of Onda Cero.

Entertainment and outreach will also have prominent places in 'Por fin'. Thus, characters such as Boris Izaguirre, Bibiana Fernández, Pablo Pombo, Juan Luis Arsuaga or Alaska will parade through the daily section 'La hora brava'.

The variety of voices and approaches will be another of the characteristics of the new program of the afternoons of Onda Cero. Thus, Jaime Cantizano incorporates a section of black chronicle by the criminologist Carmen Balfagón and the crime reporter Ángel Moya. They will also have sections in 'Por fin' Ignacio Varela, Angel Antonio Herrera and Ana Iris Simón. And Javier Olivares and Edu García will talk about sports and whatever comes up.

Throughout the four daily hours of 'Por fin', Jaime Cantizano will receive and talk with the characters that mark the social and cultural actuality of our country.

Julia Otero, the queen of the weekend

The other great novelty of the new season of Onda Cero is the premiere of 'Julia en la onda', with Julia Otero at the helm, on weekend mornings (Saturdays and Sundays from 7.00 to 11.00 am).

With her usual plural spirit and the vocation to open spaces for dialogue and confrontation of opinions, Julia will start each day the program with her already classic 'Mesa de redacción', in which are exposed those issues that do not appear on the front page of newspapers, but that generate conversation in bars, stores... and social networks.

On Saturdays, Julia will open the 'Gabinete para cafeteros', with the participation of Ignasi Guardans, Carolina Bescansa, Elisa Beni, Julián Casanova or Arantxa Tirado, among others. Humor will be an important ingredient in 'Julia en la onda'. Roger de Gràcia, Raquel Martos and Pedro Vera will be in charge of this in 'Personas físicas'.

This season, one of the great classics of Julia Otero's program, the cultural magazine 'Territorio Comanche', with Miqui Otero, Santi Segurola and Noelia Adánez, among others, also travels to the weekend.

'Maldita hemeroteca', 'El orden mundial' and 'Las pantallas' are some of the sections that will complete the eight hours of radio that Julia Otero will conduct on weekend mornings, in which José Luis Gallego or Juan Manuel de Prada, among others, will also participate.

The characters that star in the news, will pass through 'Julia en la onda' to talk with Otero.

'Más de uno', with Carlos Alsina

Radio mornings have a reference, Carlos Alsina, who once again takes the helm of 'Más de uno', with a first section dedicated to information and analysis of current affairs and a second part focused on entertainment and humor.

From 5.00 am, Alsina dissects the current affairs of the day and analyzes the main issues in 'El monólogo de las 8'. Prior to this, at 6.30, the members of 'La España que madruga' (Rubén Amón, Daniel Ramírez, Rosa Belmonte, Carlos Rodríguez Braun and Félix José Casillas) conspire to review current affairs through the general, economic and sports press.

In time for discussion, 'Más de uno' has the best team of political analysts: Marta García Aller, Pilar Velasco, David Jiménez Torres, Joaquín Manso, Francisco Marhuenda, Nacho Cardero, Antonio Casado, Carmen Morodo, Toni Bolaño, Casimiro García Abadillo

One of the great novelties in the second section of 'Más de uno' is the premiere of the section 'Radioficción', in which every week will be broadcast live radio fictions or adaptations of novels in an imaginary theater inhabited by actors, ushers, ticket sellers, musicians and technicians...

This season the 'Territorio negro' of Manu Marlasca and Luis Rendueles jumps from the afternoon to the morning to tell the chronicle of events that froze the blood of a country.

And the youngest of the house will also have their space in Alsina's program. The journalist and comedian Irene Ramírez will accompany each week a group of children to perform some kind of management typical of adults. It is the world of adults lived and explored by the kids.

Jorge Freire will propose each week an ethical-moral dilemma that will make listeners think about values and principles; and Alberto Aparici and Santi García Cremades will address issues of science and knowledge.

Humor is one of the key pieces of 'Más de uno', with comedians of the stature of Leo Harlem, Goyo Jiménez, Agustín Jiménez, Leonor Lavado and Borja Fernández Sedano. David de Jorge (Robinfood), for his part, will continue for another season touring gastronomic Spain with Leo Harlem.

Josemi Rodríguez Sieiro and his particular prism when analyzing life, J.F. León and his musical closings and the members of 'La cultureta: Rubén Amón, Sergio del Molino, Rosa Belmonte, Guillermo Altares and Nacho Vigalondo continue in 'Más de uno'.

Rafa Latorre will return to orient 'La brújula' towards current affairs this season on Onda Cero. The information, ordered and commented by an extraordinary list of collaborators and analysts. And with the focus also placed on the things of the pocket ('La brújula de la Economía') and of the fields and courts ('La brújula del Deporte').

Sport has not stopped during the summer with the European Championship first and the Olympic Games later. But this season on Onda Cero, it will go further. For some weeks now, Edu García has opened the 'Radioestadio', the program that with more passion follows football, basketball, tennis, Formula 1, motorcycles... the program of the great broadcasts and sporting events. And Rocío Martínez and Edu Pidal recover the pulse of sports information and analysis with 'Radioestadio noche'.
