Tías and Tinajo lead the creation of companies in Lanzarote in 2024

Arrecife and Haría are at the bottom of the list in terms of the opening of new businesses per inhabitant

Between January and November 2024, 134 new companies were established in Tías, the same number as were created in Arrecife in the same period, according to the Lanzarote Data Center.

Thus, while in Tías one company was created for every 160 inhabitants, in Arrecife the ratio rises to 508 citizens per newly created company. The total number of companies in Tías at present amounts to 1,094, while in Arrecife there are 1,909. Only in Haría were fewer companies created per inhabitant than in the island's capital.

After Tías, the most dynamic municipality for creating companies so far in 2024 has been Tinajo, where 40 new companies were established up to a total of 156. Thus, in Tinajo, one new company was created for every 171 inhabitants.

Meanwhile, in San Bartolomé, 65 businesses opened between January and November, one for every 299 residents, bringing the municipality's total to 498 companies.

In fourth position is Yaiza, where 46 newly created companies were established between January and November, up to a total of 685 businesses. Thus, the ratio of the southern municipality rises to 393 citizens for each new business.

The fifth position is for Teguise, where one company was created for every 486 inhabitants between January and November. Thus, Teguise added 49 companies up to a total of 764 businesses.

In sixth place is Arrecife, while Haría is the municipality where the fewest companies are created per inhabitant. Between January and November there were 6, which means one new company for every 927 inhabitants. The total number of companies in the northern municipality amounts to 113 businesses.
