The Guardamar Polimnia remains next to the merchant ship Canarias Express after being adrift in the mouth between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura due to an engine failure, as reported to EFE this Tuesday by sources from Maritime Rescue.

The ship, of Portuguese flag, does not carry dangerous goods, the sources have indicated, which have indicated that they are waiting for a tugboat from the company Boluda to transfer it to the port of Arrecife, in Lanzarote.

Maritime Rescue mobilized the Guardamar Polimnia, which was in Arrecife, after receiving a notice of the merchant ship's breakdown at 7:49 a.m. (Canarian time).
