The loss of companies in Arrecife and Haría in January causes a negative balance for Lanzarote

Arrecife lost 17 businesses in January and Haría another 7, while Yaiza, Tinajo, Tías and San Bartolomé experienced slight increases

Lanzarote's business fabric shrank last January, according to the Lanzarote Data Center based on figures from the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics.

On the island of Lanzarote, 15 companies were lost in January, bringing the total to 5,014 businesses. And even so, by municipalities, only drops were experienced in Arrecife and Haría.

In the capital, 17 companies were lost, bringing its total to 1,876 businesses, while in the north, 7 businesses were lost, meaning that the total in Haría is currently 103 companies.

The rest of the municipalities showed a slightly positive balance at the end of January or remained the same.

Yaiza added 7 companies up to a total of 659, while Tinajo added 4 up to 145 in total.

For its part, Tías has one more company at the close of January, so its total amounts to 1,078 companies.

In San Bartolomé, one more company was registered, reaching 480 in total. In Teguise there were no changes, it remained at the 730 companies with which it had closed 2023.
