The Cabildo of Lanzarote has approved in its latest Governing Council session the “Provisional Resolution for the Granting of Subsidies corresponding to the 2025 call for Climate Change Mitigation and Energy Transition in Lanzarote and La Graciosa”. Thanks to this, more than 150 families and entities will benefit from these energy grants awarded by the Institution chaired by Oswaldo Betancort, with the aim of promoting new installations and driving the energy transition.
President Oswaldo Betancort has emphasized the importance of these aids for continuing to advance towards a cleaner energy model: "These subsidies reinforce a determined commitment to transform our energy reality. We want citizens to join this change and for each new photovoltaic or wind installation to contribute to a more efficient island committed to the environment," he stated. For his part, the Minister of Energy, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, stated that the technical work carried out during the process "has involved a rigorous and transparent evaluation of all applications, where each project receiving financial support represents more renewable energy generated in Lanzarote and a further step towards decarbonization," said the head of the Energy Department, who recalled that the Corporation will spare no investment effort in these grants during the current term.
Presentation of allegations
The call, initially endowed with 500,000 euros and approved last summer, received a total of 205 applications. Once the documentary and technical review was completed, the Cabildo has proposed the provisional granting of 441,281.70 euros among the files that meet the established requirements.
The resolution establishes that interested parties have a period of ten business days from the day after its publication to submit allegations. Those who have been provisionally approved must accept the aid or submit any allegations they deem appropriate, with a warning that failure to respond will imply withdrawal of the application.
Likewise, applicants who are dismissed or declared to have withdrawn may present their arguments within the same period; if they do not do so, they will be considered to have forfeited their right and the procedure will continue in accordance with the Regulatory Bases
The complete lists have been published on the Official Bulletin Board of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, on its Electronic Headquarters, and on the website of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, a collaborating entity of the Institution in this line of aid and a reference for documentary processing.
