The vice-president and head of the Planning and Project Coordination area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, María Jesús Tovar, recently received the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa - and his entire team -, José Valle; a meeting marked by the delivery by the Chamber of the Plan for the Activation of Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
This document, together with the project as a whole, has been financed with an amount totaling 460,000 euros by the Planning and Project Coordination area, it represents a strategic roadmap for a period of 10 years and which also highlights the cooperation between administrations.
María Jesús Tovar thanked the Chamber of Commerce team "for the effort and work done in drafting this document". "Three volumes and more than a thousand pages divided into five structural blocks, without a doubt, an interesting project carried out by experts in the business sector," asserted the vice president, who also showed her full collaboration with the Chamber on future projects.
Likewise, the document contains three differentiated sections: diagnosis; benchmark (comparative analysis); and the Action Plan as a whole. In total, there are nearly 138 prioritized and budgeted projects, and it also includes more than 100 interviews with key agents. On the other hand, it also contains 71 identified strategic challenges and, furthermore, has the participation of all island institutions.
“The Plan is an instrument of consensus and public utility, designed to be implemented with vision and continuity as the reference model for the Canary Islands and the State as a whole, in addition to being another example of the importance of public-private collaboration,” concluded Tovar.
