The Lanzarote Chamber presents the 'Tourism Sustainability Cluster' to European institutions in Brussels

The Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa concludes this Thursday, June 29, "an intense work agenda" in Brussels, where it presented the 'Tourism Sustainability Cluster:'Canary Islands Net Zero', created with the World Economic Forum, to the European institutions.

Key meetings have been held with representatives of the European Commission on Competitiveness and Innovation and Mobility and Transport, representatives of the Delegation of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Brussels and representatives of the Office of the Government of the Canary Islands in Brussels.

In addition to this agenda of meetings, the president José Valle and his management team have participated in the General Assembly of Insuleur (Network of Island Chambers of Commerce of the European Union), a forum in which measures are debated and proposed to address the challenges facing the island territories of the European Union.

To close this European agenda, the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa has also participated in the 'Connecting European Chambers', a forum of European Chambers of Commerce in which they work to promote the participation of chambers of commerce in European projects.

As a result of the meetings held, future actions have already been agreed with representatives of the European Commission to materialize the defined lines of work.

In the words of the president of the Chamber, José Valle: "This intense agenda is part of the Chamber of Commerce's strategy for rapprochement and close contact with the administration at all levels, with the aim of exposing and gathering support in the ambitious strategic projects marked by the Plenary of the institution."

The Chamber of Lanzarote has been accompanied by the Chambers of Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura.
