The Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa conveys its "solidarity, backing, and support to the businesses, self-employed, workers, and citizens of Ceuta" in a statement sent to the media, "given the difficult situation the city is going through and the consequences that this reality is generating in the economic and social sphere."
From the institution, they especially recognize "the effort that the Ceuta business community is making to maintain economic activity, employment, and the provision of services to citizens in a context of special complexity."
"We consider that businesses and workers play an essential role in the stability, cohesion, and development of any territory. Therefore, especially in exceptional situations like the one Ceuta is going through, it is essential that administrations and institutions make available to the business community the backing and the necessary tools to guarantee the continuity of economic activity, employment, and the provision of services," the note continues.
The Lanzarote institution has wanted to extend its support "to all of Ceuta society and highlight its capacity for effort, commitment, and resilience in the face of the difficulties it faces."
With this statement, the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa wants to express its "closeness and solidarity with Ceuta and with all the people and economic sectors that are facing this situation, also encouraging participation in the gatherings of support and solidarity with the City of Ceuta that, today, Ceuta Day, will be held throughout the national territory."
