The president of the Chamber of Commerce, José Valle, has announced during an interview on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero, that his institution is working to have a new facility on the island in collaboration with the INCYDE Foundation (Chamber Institute for the Creation and Development of the Company).

“We are going to look for some emblematic building in the capital. It will be a significant investment of around two million euros to create a 4.0 incubator that offers space and tools for the digital age and innovation,” Valle explained.

The 4.0 concept refers to the integration of smart digital technologies in manufacturing and industrial processes to improve productivity, efficiency and flexibility.

The fourth industrial revolution encompasses a set of technologies that include industrial IoT (Internet of Things) networks, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, robotics and automation.

New technologies that need new learning. The president of the Chamber shared that “they are trying to reconvert the entire Agramar area into a training area” and highlighted the new creation of the University Foundation, “which is chaired by my predecessor”.

The key is to offer “tools in Lanzarote so that our young people can stay to develop their projects,” Valle clarified.
